The Opportunity
Merritt Hawkins is seeking candidates for a full-time Palliative Care opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate for this position will be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative care. New graduates are welcome to apply.
The palliative care program provides support to seriously ill patients. The program includes a physician, nurses, social worker, and a chaplain. The palliative care team provides relief of pain and other symptoms, relief of stress and anxiety related to the illness, assistance in making tough medical decisions, respect for values and personal choices, and comfortability. The palliative care program mentioned is seen as a compass for growing palliative care programs in the community.

The hospital is a 485-bed facility and is noted as a leader among hospitals in the St. Louis region for its excellence in heart services and lifesaving cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, cancer treatment, radiology, urology, pulmonology, and radiation oncology. They have nearly 500 physicians on staff and a diverse workforce of more than 1,800 health care professionals dedicated to providing the absolute best care with the latest technology and medical advances.
Compensation & Benefits
The physician opportunity is employed by a nationally ranked medical group based in St. Louis, Missouri on the campus of the 485-bed hospital mentioned above.
Additional monetary incentives: There is potential to receive a sign-on bonus, retention bonus, relocation package, training stipend, and student loan reimbursement.
