Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania has excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Colon and Rectal Surgery physician to join the Surgical Service Line providing services at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital located in the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.

This opportunity offers the surgeon a practice combination of 70% of their time spent in the inpatient environment and the remaining 30% within the outpatient clinic. The qualified surgeon must be willing to assist in the General Surgery call service providing call coverage 1:5 to include weekends and holidays.

The selected surgeon will also have ability to build relationships to help in building a successful practice with the intention of obtaining Colorectal Accreditation from the ACOS/COC.

This role also has the opportunity to function in the role of Surgical Residency Director for the Mercy Health System Residency Program providing teaching and oversight to the residency faculty.

Previous Colon and Rectal Surgery practice experience is required for this opportunity. Preference will be shown to candidates who possess leadership experience.
