Academic Anatomic Pathologist in Oklahoma
StartDate: ASAP

Merritt Hawkins’ academic division has partnered with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine to recruit two rising leaders in anatomic pathology who are committed to excellence in diagnostics, research, and teaching. We are seeking candidates for Director of Anatomic Pathology and a Subspecialist Anatomic Pathologist. These positions provide a unique balance of practice fulfillment and quality of life.

Director of Anatomic Pathology Opportunity
The successful candidate will:
  • lead the thriving Anatomic Pathology Division of the OU Medical System Laboratory, which serves adult and pediatric populations;
  • manage a subspecialty-based anatomic pathology practice while providing medical direction for anatomic pathology technical facilities.
  • Candidate qualifications:
  • board certification in AP or AP/CP with at least ten years of recent experience in surgical pathology and more than three years of recent experience in a leadership role
  • a strong academic background including a track record of publishing, leadership ability, and administrative skills
Subspecialist Anatomic Pathologist Opportunity
The successful candidate will:
  • join the Anatomic Pathology Division of the OU Medical System Laboratory, a group of fourteen anatomic pathologists;
  • provide leadership in an area of subspecialty interest.
  • Candidate qualifications:
  • board certification in AP or AP/CP with at least five years of experience as a subspecialty surgical pathologist or cytopathologist
  • a successful record of academic productivity leading to an emerging reputation
