The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and the Thurston Arthritis Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a senior faculty member in the area of autoimmunity and/or inflammation research. The successful applicant will be a physician-scientist with a nationally recognized research program eligible for appointment at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Candidates must have an MD, DO or MD/PhD degree and be Board Certified in Rheumatology. Successful applicants will possess an exceptional record of basic or translational research demonstrated by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and consistent extramural research funding. An endowed professorship is available for qualified candidates.  The University of North Carolina ranks 5th among universities in the US for federal research support and provides extensive institutional resources.
