Gynecological Oncologist

South Shore Health System is seeking a Full-Time, Employed Gynecological Oncologist to join a thriving practice. The GYN Oncology team is part of SSH’s Multispecialty Clinic, which is within the larger affiliated comprehensive Cancer Center.  The GYN Onc practice currently consists of 1 GYN Oncologist with volumes easily supporting two and a nurse practitioner and physician assistant. The office is located in a collaborative and multidisciplinary patient-centered ambulatory environment working at the affiliated Cancer Center. The incumbent is encouraged to participate in weekly tumor board/case conferences, South Shore Hospital Cancer Committee, and educational programs in support of community benefits.
 
The ideal candidate will have a keen enthusiasm for working in collaborative, team-based environments. Qualifications include a completed residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology and additional subspecialty fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about women's health issues, possess a strong surgical background to include training and experience in traditional open, as well as minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) approaches.  The candidate must also possess the desire to develop an outpatient-based practice in support of our growing Women's Health Specialty Services within a regionally integrated healthcare system.

The Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital provides world-leading cancer care and support right in the community.  Specialty care within the Cancer Center includes SSH Multispecialty ambulatory surgical clinic, SSH Breast Care Center, DFCI Medical Oncology, DFCI Radiation Oncology, and SSH and BWPO Imaging Services.
