DaVita Medical Group is looking for an Urgent Care Physician to join our team in Henderson. Essential Functions

  • Provide Workers' Comp, employer wellness/pre-employment physicals, sports physicals, and VA health assessment visits.
  • Performs procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care.
  • Documents/charts patient information in line with current policies and procedures.

Position Details

  • Clinic: Based at West Lake Mead clinic in Henderson but must be open to covering other locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley when the need arises.
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Avg Patient Census: 40 patients/day (10-hour shift)
  • No call
  • Requirements
  • Unrestricted Nevada MD or DO license

  • Current Nevada DEA certificate and Pharmacy license required prior to start date
  • BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with Pediatrics
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Experience with minor procedures
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) certification or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS/PALS

Preferences

  • At least one year of experience in Urgent Care
  • Fluent or Medical Spanish speaking ability; other languages are also needed
