Community Information:

With a population of over 1.6 million and 359 constituent communities, Phoenix Arizona greater metropolitan area offers a wealth of living, education, entertainment and recreational pursuits, and an ethnically and cultural diverse mix of peoples that call this Desert Oasis home. Halfway between Tucson to the south and Flagstaff to the north, the Valley of the Sun is a mecca for those attracted to its natural desert beauty, wide-open spaces and 300+ days of sunshine! Phoenix skies stay blue throughout winter with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Desert nights and mornings can get chilly, but the temperature rarely drops below freezing, while springtime is consistently perfect with blooming cacti and wildflowers brightening our desert, and daytime temperatures loll around 80 degrees while evenings are comfortably cool. Summers can be hot, and the old axiom that it s a dry heat proves truthful, as the Sonoran Desert s super-low humidity means 90-degree temperatures (32 degrees C) that actually feels quite nice, coupled with the arid climate which causes perspiration to evaporate quickly, keeping you cooler and drier. While autumn descends across most of the country in September, sunny summer days linger in Phoenix, and come October, the days are warm, pleasant and perfect for outdoor fun while cool nights lend themselves to dining al fresco.
