Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is searching for a Transplant Pulmonologist to join our lung transplant program. Interested candidates must be BC/BE in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and must have at least 12 months experience in all aspects of medical management of lung transplant patients (participate in the management and selection of patients prior to transplantation, and participate in the management both peri- and post-lung transplantation). Salary will be commensurate with experience and training.

The Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Center is the Gulf South s leading center, performing more transplants per year than any other facility in the region. Ochsner is the only lung transplant program in Louisiana and remains one of the nation's most active lung transplant programs. Our program has averaged 27 transplants per year over the last three years. Since it opened in 1991 it has performed more than 300 lung transplants.

Ochsner has also partnered with the University of Queensland to create an exceptional medical education program for outstanding students. The aim of the program is to allow students from the United States to benefit from an international educational experience yet still receive sufficient clinical training to meet registration requirements to practice medicine in both the US and Australia. The UQ-Ochsner MD program is a four year degree, of which the first two years (pre-clinical) is spent at UQ's Queensland campuses (Brisbane) and the final two years (clinical) is spent at UQ's Ochsner Clinical School (New Orleans)
