The Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time academic neurosurgeon. Responsibilities include maintaining a productive surgical practice in neuro-oncology, teaching and mentoring neurosurgical residents and fellows, advancing knowledge in the field through publication and presentation of discoveries and best-practices in patient care, and participating in translational research within the department to identify new therapies for patients with neurological cancers. This position will collaborate in our multidisciplinary neuro-oncology practice (including cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, neurology, and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center) and on our Brain Tumor SPORE grant.
Qualified candidates will be a board eligible/board certified neurosurgeon; advanced training and experience in neuro-oncology required. Ability to obtain active Illinois medical licensure prior to start date required.
Rank and tenure status will be determined based on qualifications. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
