The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a physician (D.O. or M.D.) for a full-time, non-tenure track, and clinical faculty position in Endocrinology & Metabolism. This recruitment effort is seeking a .6 FTE academic/research faculty member for the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. The remaining .4 FTE employment will be in the Diabetes & Endocrinology Department at the OhioHealth Physician Group Heritage College, the college’s designated faculty practice plan.

The candidate must have a special interest and qualifications for practicing, teaching and limited research in Diabetes. The position is in the Department of Specialty Medicine (DSM), Section of Internal Medicine. This position will be expected to maintain an active clinical practice with our clinical partner, OhioHealth Physicians Group Heritage College.

Job Description:

1. Maintain, demonstrate, and teach the clinical application of endocrinology in the OhioHealth Physician Group Heritage College Diabetes & Endocrinology Center; Provide inpatient consultation services as a member of the Section of Internal Medicine at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital

2. Teach and participate in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows as assigned by the medical school

3. Participate in outreach, teaching, and research initiatives of the vibrant Diabetes Institute, providing clinical expertise in endocrinology; Participate in scholarly research and teaching

4. Participate in academic and administrative functions (service) as assigned by the Department Chair

Minimum Qualifications:

We must have a licensed and board certified physician to meet accreditation standards and to be eligible to hold a clinical appointment with OhioHealth Physicians Group Heritage College.

*Graduate of an AOA-/AMA-approved fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism
*Board eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology & Metabolism
*Ohio licensure or credentials allowing same; and
*DEA licensure
*minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Pay Rate:

Commensurate with credentials and experience.
