The University of Rochester Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy Immunology and Rheumatology is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist for a leadership position – Clinical Director – at the associate professor rank level. We are a fourteen member faculty group with world renowned members with expertise in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, SLE, Sjogren’s Syndrome, scleroderma, clinical immunology and MSK ultrasound. The Division is a leader in providing high quality rheumatologic care, the design and implementation of innovative translational studies and clinical trials and the development of novel approaches in resident and fellowship education. The Division has 2 fully staffed clinics and infusion centers, 5 advance practice providers and a robust and talented support staff including 14 RN's working as a team to provide timely, state-of- the art patient care.
The Clinical Director will oversee the performance and quality assurance of the clinical rheumatology operations. The Director should have strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and business acumen specifically as it relates to budgeting, cost containment, staffing assessments, team building and process improvement. Other activities will include patient care, supervision of fellows, residents and medical students and scholarly endeavors.
Applicants are required to have an MD, be BC/BE in rheumatology and be eligible for licensure in the State of New York and have a strong interest in both inpatient and outpatient clinical rheumatology. Post offer health assessment is required. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
