Title: Physician - Women's Hospitalist

Hours: Full Time Hourly 7-8 shifts

Office Location: St. Vincent Women's Hospital

OBGYN of Indiana is seeking an experienced full-time OB Hospitalist for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine service at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. This candidate must have experience managing high risk OB patients and must be comfortable performing surgical interventions such as C-sections and D&Cs.

Position Highlights:

  • Hospitalist rotation/12-24 hour shifts

Responsibilities:

Deliver professional medical services to patients in hospital setting, including provide comprehensive high-risk obstetric health care services, as required by Hospital and Hospital's Patients.  Work within a strong team oriented environment and collaborate with Maternal Fetal Specialists to coordinate high risk care of our patients.

Minimum Requirements:

Successful completion of a postgraduate residency in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the ACGME, AOA or equivalent.  Maintenance of an active Indiana medical license or ability to apply for and obtain.  Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Documentation of the performance of gynecologic surgical procedures including operative gynecological procedures   and up to 50 vaginal and/or C-Section deliveries during the past two years or demonstrated successful completion of a hospital-affiliated formalized residency or clinical fellowship within the past two years.

St. Vincent Women's has a 99-bed Level IV Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that features 14 separate suites for multiple births. The St. Vincent Women's Hospital NICU is the largest in the state of Indiana. Services offered at St. Vincent Women's Hospital are a Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics Center with prenatal diagnostic testing, genetic counseling and high risk pregnancy management. The High Risk unit offers 26 private rooms in a home-like environment for those patients who expect an extended hospital stay. The Family Care Unit offers 48 private patient rooms, a nursery, lactation consultants and a newborn portrait studio. St Vincent Women's hospital also offers maternal/fetal transport services covering all St Vincent Health ministries and any other Indiana hospital requesting service.
