Orthopedic Surgeon

Sanford Clinic has an opening for an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide medical & surgical services to patients of Fargo, ND and the surrounding area.

Job Description:  Provide medical and surgical services to patients on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Treat diseases, injuries, conditions, deformities, and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including the muscles, bones, joints, nerves, ligaments and tendons. Duties will include: examination of patient to obtain information on the medical condition and surgical risk; order and execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient’s condition; operate on patients; prescribe pre- and post-operative treatments and procedures; provide consultation and surgical assistance to other physicians and surgeons; coordinate care with other physician specialties; and ensure continuity of care with the primary care physician.  Additionally, the Orthopedic Surgeon will be faculty for Sanford’s Orthopedic Surgery Residency program.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Medical degree or foreign equivalent in Medicine as determined by a written evaluation.

Training: 12 month Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship. Number of months of training required is dependent upon the number of months necessary to complete medical training leading to completion of a fellowship program in Musculoskeletal Oncology.

Experience: None

License: North Dakota state medical license or ability to obtain
