Honeywell is seeking an on-site Physician to work 3-4 days per week at our AERO FM&T facility. Honeywell FM&T supports an important national security mission for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), at a premier engineering and manufacturing site.

In this position, you will:

  • Direct and oversee the development and implementation of medical programs and serve as the Site Occupational Medical Director and Designated Physician for Honeywell FM&T. Performs physical examinations, periodic medical surveillance, and treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Direct and oversee Medical Care Services and recommend changes and improvements to meet medical, DOE/NNSA, and contract requirements. Conducts exams in accordance with established CFR regulations (10 CFR 1046, 10 CFR 850, and 10 CFR 712).
  • Directly supervise employees and perform managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; and developing employees.
  • Determine necessity and frequency of periodic physical examinations in collaboration with management. Assures effective ‘case’ management of occupational injuries and illnesses including return to work and associated restrictions.
  • Perform physical examinations of FM&T post-offer candidates.  Review and interpret laboratory results.  Makes medical determinations associated with abnormal medical testing results.
  • Perform essential functions evaluations for newly hired employees and upon employees returning to work.
  • Examine and treat occupational illnesses or injuries of FM&T employees.  Coordinates case management activities associated with occupational injuries / illness.
  • Assure the continued maintenance of medical records on FM&T employees.
  • Establish health standards for employees and makes determinations relative to physical qualifications.
  • Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) and provides the necessary support of FM&T goals and objectives. 
  • Provide emergency medical treatment to employees and non-employees when circumstances warrant
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment.  Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified.

You Must Have:

  • US citizen in order to obtain DOE Security Clearance.
  • 5 years of experience as a clinician
  • Board certification in Occupational medicine or eligible to be certified
  • MD or DO License in the state of Missouri
