OBGYN Position in Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains
Wythe County Community Hospital is recruiting for an OBGYN who enjoys quality of life and a great work environment. The community is a great fit for the person loving the great outdoors and wanting to enjoy the beauty of the mountains, rivers, lakes and streams of the pristine Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. Our facility is a 100 bed, Accredited Chest Pain facility located only one hour and fifteen minutes from Roanoke, VA and Winston-Salem, NC, with great access to Interstates 77 and 81. This position is an employment arrangement for a full time BC/BE candidate. Must be trained in laparoscopy.
Practice in a newly built women?s wing at the clinic with an option to work offsite and independently in a satellite clinic in our secondary market. Annual hospital births are over 350 with our hospital being the only birthing center close by. Level 1 Nursery with 2 pediatricians to assist with c-sections and high risk pregnancies. Women?s Center at the hospital has 3 LDRP suites for labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum. Group dynamics include 1 OBGYN, 1 family practice physician and 2 midlevel practitioners. Competitive compensation wRVU model plus bonus. Sign on bonus, student loan repayment and relocation allowance are negotiable, as is a stipend for last year residents.

Wythe County Community Hospital is a 100-bed acute care hospital that serves the residents of Wythe and Bland counties and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The hospital is located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 81, bringing thousands of travelers through the area each year. The hospital offers 24-hour Emergency Care, Surgery, Extended Care Services, Intensive Care, Women’s Services (Obstetrics, Women’s Center, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Mammography), Radiology Services (General Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and CT), Rehabilitation Services, Hospice, Home Health, Cardiology, Respiratory, Cancer Services, Pastoral Care and Community / Occupational Education.
