Academic Maternal-Fetal Medicine in California
StartDate: ASAP
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University seeks an exceptional Clinician-Scientist (MD, or MD/PhD) with expertise in perinatal epidemiology for the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM). Based on the applicant’s credentials, this appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Medical Center Line (MCL). This opportunity offers an Academic appointment at Stanford University School of Medicine, the ability to actively engage in research, provide MFM-specialty care, and teach as well as a competitive benefits package.
We are seeking a person who combines proven research skills with an outstanding record of academic accomplishments and successful grant support in perinatal epidemiology. S/he must also be an outstanding MFM clinician and educator and have a track record as a collaborator with creative vision to help shape the future of a dynamic division. Candidates must have subspecialty training in MFM and be board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
The Division includes an internationally recognized program which delivers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care in close collaboration with general obstetrics, neonatology and other specialties. The clinical care team provides the full scope of MFM clinical practice services. There are numerous academic opportunities at Stanford, including basic, translational & clinical research programs, and an American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology approved MFM fellowship program.
The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
