Fenway Health is looking for a full-time OB/GYN physician (MD or DO) to join its growing practice.

Fenway Health is New England’s premiere provider of healthcare to the LGBT community. It is both a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home and a Joint Commission accredited Federally Qualified Health Center.

The OB/GYN physician will provide full-spectrum OB/GYN patient care with the support of nursing, medical assistants, and integrated behavioral health staff. The position will involve a mixture of both obstetrics and gynecology. Responsibilities include: providing direct prenatal care and medical services; performing a variety of medical procedures such as biopsies, IUD and implant insertions, incision and drainage, cryotherapy, and minor surgical procedures; psychosocial screening and evaluations; maintaining patient records and documentation; and participating in educational conferences, training efforts, and practice improvement initiatives.

The physician will be expected to participate in regular OB call coverage at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which is Fenway Health’s Harvard Medical School affiliated partner teaching hospital with approximately 5,000 deliveries per year and an active OB/GYN residency program. Access to OR time for both major and minor surgical procedures available. Fenway Health has a direct relationship with a full time Maternal-Fetal Medicine department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Fenway offers competitive salaries, strong leadership, excellent organizational supports, and a compelling patient mix. Clinic is located in a highly desirable part of Boston. Known for its excellence in HIV care and men’s health, Fenway is evolving into a diverse practice as it expands its services to women, trans-identified individuals, children of all ages, LGBT families, and underserved members of the surrounding neighborhoods.

We offer competitive salaries, and for those who qualify, an excellent benefits package; including comprehensive medical and dental insurance plans, and a retirement plan with employer match. We also provide 11 paid holidays, paid vacation, and more.

LGBTQ-identified persons, people of color, and others from historically underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate Massachusetts licensure as well as OB/GYN Board certification
  • Interest in both major and minor gynecologic surgical procedures
  • Interest in LGBT health highly desirable
  • The provider will be expected to maintain controlled substance licensure in MA and a federal DEA license
  • Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment preferred
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
