CarePoint Neurosurgery is looking for a complex spine neurosurgeon that also has an interest in deformity.  Candidates must have completed a spine fellowship following residency and must be ABNS BC/BE. Candidate needs to have an interest in building a robust spine practice throughout the community but willingness to also do general neurosurgery. This position will take trauma call at a level 1 trauma center. The appropriate candidates will bring superb team skills and excellent clinical abilities. The incoming neurosurgeon will enjoy an enthusiastic and welcoming referral base and an intellectually stimulating, professionally challenging case mix.

CarePoint Neurosurgery is a division of CarePoint Health. CarePoint Neurosurgery was started in 2016 by Dr. Brent Kimball. The practice currently consists of 3 neurosurgeons that are supported by a team of physician assistants.

The position with CarePoint Neurosurgery is part of a partnership with one of our local hospitals, Swedish Medical Center. Located in Denver, CO, Swedish Medical Center is part of HealthONE, Denver’s largest healthcare system and HCA Healthcare, the largest health system in the country 

ABOUT SWEDISH MEDICAL CENTER

Swedish Medical Center is a 408-bed level I trauma center with comprehensive stroke center designation. The medical center is an eight-time winner of the National Research Corporation Consumer Choice Award and a Top 100 Hospital recognized by Reuters.

This “privademic” environment has a strong private practice culture with residency programs in general surgery, family medicine, pharmacy. The neurology residency started in 2017. The hospital has ample resources related to both bench and clinical research. Functional and TBI research, device development initiatives, and space to cultivate multi-disciplinary clinics will enable neurosurgeons to pursue their professional interests. Accredited specialty clinics related to ALS and Huntington’s disease are currently supported.

Swedish enjoys a collaborative relationship with Craig Hospital, a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital that exclusively specializes in the neuro-rehabilitation and research of patients with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Craig hospital is adjacent to the Swedish campus.
