Cejka Executive Search has been exclusively retained by KidsPeace to assist in the recruitment for the Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital of KidsPeace’s 120-bed, free-standing child and adolescent hospital. KidsPeace, a national, non-profit organization, provides a full continuum of mental and behavioral health services to pediatric patients and their families.

Located an hour north of Philadelphia in the scenic Lehigh Valley, KidsPeace is dedicated to serving pediatric patients and their families by providing emotional and physical healthcare coupled with educational and rehabilitation services. In addition to KidsPeace’s free-standing psychiatric hospital, their continuum of care services include residential programs, community-based treatment programs, education services and foster care programs. KidsPeace has been serving the pediatric population for over 135 years and serves more than 11,000 young people annually in a variety of venues in eight states.

The Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital is responsible for the overall clinical leadership and supervision of all hospital-based medical services, including psychiatric, pediatric/family practice, and Advanced Practice Professionals (APP). In collaboration with the Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer and hospital president, the Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital will provide input in planning, developing, implementing and assessing clinical programs and services. The Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital will foster a culture dedicated to multidisciplinary and coordinated models of patient care utilizing the best practices in evidence-based medicine, advanced technology and quality improvement techniques. The Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital will implement consistent policies and practices; manage and develop education initiatives; oversee clinical utilization, and case and risk management and clinical staff satisfaction. The Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital will also serve as a clinical representative of KidsPeace with regulatory agencies and oversee the compliance of hospital based programs. The Vice President Medical Affairs - Hospital will maintain a reduced clinical practice.

Successful candidates will have at least five years of demonstrated success within clinical leadership with oversight for inpatient psychiatric services and a strong understanding and involvement of advancing inpatient pediatric behavioral health care. Current board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry and ability to obtain a medical license is required.
