The Presbyterian Heart & Vascular Program, a division of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, is seeking a BE/BC Vascular Surgeon to join its team.
Presbyterian Heart and Vascular Care is a leader in cardiovascular care in New Mexico, offering a wide array of services dedicated to the prevention, detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Presbyterian Heart and Vascular Care offers the broadest and most complex services in the state, including New Mexico’s first pediatric heart surgery practice and the state’s largest and most innovative cardiac rehabilitation program. Our complement of highly skilled specialists includes clinical and interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, pediatric cardiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiac anesthesiologists.
As a highly-specialized center for vascular care, our reputation for excellence is built on continually striving toward the most advanced, evidenced based treatment. Our rapidly growing program performs over 700 vascular surgeries and over 300 peripheral CVL interventions annually. PHG supports and encourages a multi-disciplinary group of 20 cardiologists, 3 cardiothoracic surgeons along with the vascular surgeons.
The practice currently has two Board-Certified Vascular Surgeons and is expanding to 3 surgeons. The team is supported by 3 Advanced Practitioner clinicians. This team provides preventative, interventional, surgical and ongoing comprehensive care for patients with vascular conditions. The vascular clinic within the PHG has a state -of –the-art facility including and ICAVL – certified non-invasive laboratory. Along with these progressive services, the practice continues to offer all aspects of comprehensive vascular services. The hospital is equipped with a hybrid operating room and an additional hybrid lab in the Cardiovascular Lab.
The ideal candidate has 3 years’ experience post-training and is proficient in the aspects of adult vascular surgery. We offer patients an array of services including Endo-stent and Surgical Aneurysm Repair, Surgical Arterial Bypass, Angioplasty Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Dialysis Access Procedures, Renal and Mesenteric Revascularization and Medical Vein Surgery.
