St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) has an excellent opportunity for a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join an existing hospital-based, private practice located in Pontiac, Michigan. This is a full time employment opportunity with two additional practice locations in Rochester and West Bloomfield, Michigan.

SJMO is recruiting an experienced Fellowship Trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join three Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians in practice.  The Maternal Fetal Medicine team is looking for the right candidate to take on the role of a junior faculty member as well as medical director and/or service line leadership.

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess three to five years of practice experience as well as leadership in business development, physician relations, and teaching of residents and fellows.

SJMO offers a Level III NICU, genetic counseling and diabetes education.  The practice offers a great working environment with state-of-the-art technology and experienced ultrasound technologists and nurses.  The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising a total of three Fellows, one new Fellow in each year, in SJMO's hospital-based Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship program established in 2012.

This hospital based practice performs approximately 2,000 deliveries annually with a total of 5,000 deliveries from preferred referral practices within multiple hospital systems.  The annual patient volume of the practice is:

  • 2,500 Consultations
  • 11,000 Patient visits
  • 10,000 Ultrasounds
  • 5,000 NSTs
  • 500 Twin visits
  • 900 Inpatients

The schedule for this opportunity includes a 1:3 call schedule with mostly consultative services.
