Due to extensive growth and community need, Reading Hospital seeking an Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join our experienced and skilled neurosurgeons in our highly respected and stable neurosurgical practice that has served Berks County for nearly six decades. Surgical volume consists of spinal, brain and peripheral nerves. The newly recruited neurosurgeon must have the qualifications and interest to assist in the development of the Comprehensive Stroke Program and also participate in general neurosurgery and trauma call (1:5 with new surgeon). Highlights: Institute for Radiosurgery; State-of-the-art Stereotactic Radiosurgery Center Trilogy Linear Accelerator (among first ten in the U.S. to acquire Trilogy). Integral part of the McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center; Reading Hospital/Reading Hospital; 700+ acute care bed, not-for-profit, tertiary care, independent academic medical center 36-acre campus; 50+ remote locations 1000+ medical staff; One of Pennsylvania’s busiest Emergency Departments: 130K+ annually; One of Pennsylvania's leaders in surgical volume. Fastest-growing trauma center in Pennsylvania. Partners with University of Pennsylvania to operate Level II Trauma Center. Academic affiliation with Thomas Jefferson University. Position Requirements: MD or DO; Candidates must be licensed/eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and BE/BC in endovascular and open vascular procedures; fellowship required.
