RHEUMATOLOGY INVESTIGATOR/SCIENTIST  

The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine (Hershey, PA) is seeking an NIHfunded Clinical Investigator/Scientist with a research focus in any area of rheumatology or autoimmune disease, including clinical, translational and basic science investigations.  We have an active fellowship training program, a research portfolio supported by NIH and industry as well as ongoing collaborations with other departments including Pediatrics, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Microbiology/Immunology, Genetics and Public Health Sciences.  The campus offers readily accessible core facilities in all areas including flow cytometry, microscopy and genetics, an NIH-funded CTSA and a large clinical trials office.  Collaborative interactions with the main Penn State campus at University Park are encouraged.   

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a 551-bed adult and pediatric Level I trauma center. As Central Pennsylvania’s only academic medical center and home to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and Penn State College of Medicine, we are sought out as a resource for the most complex adult and pediatric cases. Appropriate candidates must possess a MD, MD/PhD or foreign equivalent, NIH funding and the ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Appointments may be to the fixed-term or tenure track, as appropriate.
