Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa has an excellent hospital employment opportunity for a full time Board Certified or Board Eligible Endocrinology physician to join the Mercy Diabetes Center located in Mason City, Iowa.

The Mercy Diabetes Center takes a unique team approach to delivering diabetes care. The medical team includes an Endocrinologist, two physician providers, two ARNP's, two Diabetic Educators, a Registered Dietician, and an excellent support staff. Together they take care of patients, develop best practices, conduct research and implement new strategies for diabetes management and share those practices with physicians and other health care providers within Mercy Health Network - North Iowa. Access to ongoing education for diabetes self-management and support also is advanced through Mercy Diabetes Center.

Our outpatient clinic practice setting is enhanced by close access to inpatients, on site medical imaging, wide range of specialists for consultation, a sleep lab, electronic medical records, PACS and a full service medical library. Our Internal Medicine Hospitalist team manages most admissions originating through the ED.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa is a 346-bed regional referral teaching center.  Our medical staff of 300+ physicians covers a broad range of specialties.  In addition to being a Level II Trauma Center, we are home to a Diabetes Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, Stroke Center of Excellence, and a Cardiovascular Program ranked in the top 100 nationally for nine consecutive years.  Our range of specialties includes Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology and much more.  Mercy sponsors a Family Medicine Residency Program and Cardiology and Hospice/Palliative Care Fellowships.
