Chief Physician Executive, Medical Group/Physician Enterprise

Located in the NY metropolitan area, our client is a high reliability healthcare system with the highest standards of safety, quality, and satisfaction to ensure an outstanding experience for its patients and community.  With positive statistics and bottom-line financial results, the System remains independent with strong academic and clinical affiliations.  The Medical Group Physician Enterprise has a strong impact on the overall strategy of the Health System.  As the group continues to develop its infrastructure and programs integrated with the Health System, the organization is currently searching for a Chief Physician Executive (CPE) to lead these initiatives.

The CPE will serve as a member of the System’s leadership team.  This executive is the key leader applying clinical quality standards and performance guidelines, developing enhanced operational systems, and building the infrastructure for a complex medical group integrated within a broader System. This CPE will have primary responsibility for building a cohesive/integrated culture among the healthcare providers and for the delivery of high quality service excellence focused clinical services, while also being responsible for margin enhancement strategies.

The successful candidate will be a respected clinician of stature and reputation, well versed in current medical group trends and leadership, with a proven track record of clinical and administrative accomplishments.  S/he will be a visionary leader, skilled at change management, and will be  a role model while inspiring and fostering an environment of collaboration, quality, patient safety, physician and patient satisfaction with the system.  Experience will include working with voluntary and full-time physicians.  With a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in leadership and governance of physician enterprises, the CPE will preferably hold a Master’s degree in business, health management or public health.
