Internal Medicine- Hospitalist Opportunity- Bozeman, MT
The Hospital Medicine program was established in 2006 and there are currently 12 FTE’s. Prior experience as a hospitalist preferred, but will consider candidates who are BC/BE and practicing full spectrum Internal Medicine.
There are currently 3 rounding teams with average daily census between 12-15 patients. We also have two afternoon swing shifts and a night shift. Night physician is not required to stay in house; on average 4-5 new patient encounters at night. We have an open ICU with 24-7 coverage by Intensivists.
We have variable block scheduling with shift lengths varying between 10-12 hours. There are 14 shifts per month.

The hospital is an 86 bed facility with 8 ORs, 8 bed ICU, 8 bed progressive care unit, 25 bed ED. Approximately 28,000 ED visits per year. Bozeman Deaconess Health Group is a physician-led multispecialty group of 100+ providers formed in 2005. We just broke ground to add to our ICU, Women’s Services, and overall hospital beds.
The hospital has level III ACS Trauma Center designation and is DMV accredited. There are approximately 220 physicians on the medical staff representing a broad spectrum of both medical and surgical specialties.
