As a result of continued growth in clinical, teaching and research efforts, the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is currently seeking academic gastroenterologists as full-time faculty members to expand the Division of Digestive Diseases in the Department of Medicine. As part of our strategic growth, we are hiring for the areas of transplant hepatology, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, and motility, as well as a gastroenterologist with health outcomes research or translational/basic science focus.

Individuals will provide clinical care and contribute to the education of fellows, residents and students.  Opportunities exist for providing a full spectrum of gastroenterology services including inpatient and outpatient consultative services, liver transplants, and interventional procedures in a free-standing endoscopy suite. Creative, adaptive, and collaborative skills will be needed to integrate and enhance the network of multidisciplinary providers contributing to the care of our patients.

•    Board Certified/Eligible in Digestive Diseases, focused training in sub-specialty area
•    Ability to obtain an unrestricted Mississippi medical license
•    Demonstrated success providing quality clinical care and effective teaching, as well as contributions to other scholarship
•    Excellent teamwork and communication skills
