The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Beaumont Health System is seeking candidates interested in obstetric laborist positions in the OB Laborist Division of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.  The candidate’s responsibilities will include clinical care of patients in the Family Birth Center and the Karmanos Center for Natural Birth as well as the teaching and supervision of certified nurse midwifes, medical students, Residents and Fellows.  Strong skills in clinical obstetrics are required.  A passion for teaching is also highly desired.

Beaumont Health System is an eight hospital regional health system that is the largest health system in the state of Michigan with a total of 3,337 licensed beds. The system had over 17,000 deliveries last year with over 7,000 births occurring at the Royal Oak campus.  Beaumont has 40 accredited Residency and Fellowship programs with more than 450 Residents and Fellows.  The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department has a Residency Program with 24 Residents and a Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship.  Beaumont Royal Oak is the exclusive clinical teaching site for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Qualifications:  The candidate must be certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. A strong background or interest in medical student and Resident teaching is required.
