District Medical Group (DMG) is recruiting for a full-time Urologist to join the Department of Surgery. The Department staffs Maricopa Medical Center, a community hospital with ACS Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area, with a commitment to providing clinical services to an underserved community. Maricopa Medical Center is part of the Maricopa Integrated Health System, a network of community clinics throughout Maricopa County, with State-of-the-art equipment, including an upgraded Cystoscopy suite and endoscopic equipment, urodynamic lab and da Vinci surgical robotic system.
The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities relating to serving as a faculty member to its sponsored graduate medical education programs. The candidate will assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general urology services in the elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, teaching residents and should be comfortable with a teamwork approach for patient management. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities and most importantly developing and growing our robotics program for urology patients.
Required qualifications: The qualified candidate with interest in academics must have completed an accredited urology residency program, be board certified and/or board eligible and must be eligible for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license. Preference will be given to candidates who are fellowship trained or have a strong experience in Robotic assisted surgery.
