IHA and St. Mary Mercy Livonia have an exciting full time employment opportunity for a Breast Surgeon interested in a combined Clinical and Medical Director role for Breast Surgery Services with a multi-specialty group located in southeast Michigan.
IHA is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible fellowship-trained breast surgeon to join an established breast surgery group, which is part of a large multispecialty physician organization. As part of our four-hospital Comprehensive Breast Care program, the chosen candidate will provide clinical care and program leadership at St. Mary Mercy Livonia.
This position includes a 0.2 FTE Medical Director role and a clinical Breast Surgery physician role for the remaining 0.8 FTE. With programmatic support from St. Mary Mercy Livonia, the chosen candidate will provide leadership for the breast care program, oversee maintenance of NAPBC and other accreditations, direct the multidisciplinary breast clinic, and supervise a mid-level provider within the high-risk program.
Our breast care program includes dedicated breast surgeons, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. We work in concert with hospital based nurse navigators, supportive care, genetic counselors and a high risk breast program. Our breast imaging group has fellowship trained Radiologists and the latest imaging technology including tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI, and image guided biopsy. St. Joe's is a member of the National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Program (NCORP), and as a result has an outstanding clinical trials infrastructure and participation in clinical research.
