ASSISTANT/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR CALIFORNIA SURGICAL ONCOLOGIST AND THORACIC SURGEON POSITION
Our academic Surgery Program is seeking an established Surgical Oncologist and a Thoracic Surgeon to integrate advanced technology, robotics, and introduce state-of-the-art techniques and surgical innovation into the General Surgery Residency Training Program. He/she will be expected to build upon and support a program of excellence for major and complex oncology and thoracic cases. The position involves providing teaching and consultation to Residents and rotating medical students at our 80-year old General Surgery Residency Training Program.
The candidate will join the Department of Surgery General Surgery Residency Program with an established tertiary referral system and affiliation to University of California at Davis. The hospital is a high volume trauma center and has seen major growth in several services, for example; intervention radiology.
The hospital is in close proximity to many major cities and attractions. SJGH is less than an hour from Sacramento and within 2 hours or San Francisco, Napa Valley’s wine country and Yosemite National Park.
