Medical Director Position in Palliative Medicine
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, seeks full-time, academic Palliative Medicine physicians for its Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine within the Department of Medicine. One of the positions also carries with it an appointment as Medical Director for a not-for-profit community-based hospice. These non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care to hospitalized patients as well as weekend on call coverage for patients in nursing homes; teaching fellows, residents and medical students; and maintaining an active research program.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland, at the time of appointment.
