The VA Nebraska Western-Iowa Healthcare System, Omaha Nebraska, is recruiting for a well-qualified Board Certified / Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with total joint and spine qualifications and experience (ankle, knee, hip, hand, wrist, shoulder and spine) to join our Surgical Care Line team, reporting to the Chief of Surgery. The Omaha Division is an acute, highly affiliated, tertiary care facility.
The Omaha facility provides inpatient, medical, surgical and psychiatric care in addition to its ambulatory care services; and is also home to major clinical research programs. We are affiliated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine, along with allied health programs in Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Physician Assistant, Dietetics, Nurse Practitioner; and with Creighton University, Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Occupational Therapy Nursing. The Omaha Division has 100 acute care beds and 8 residential substance abuse beds. Ongoing research projects include studies in liver and pulmonary diseases, reproductive endocrinology, immunology, cancer, gastroenterology, endocrine and diabetes, orthopedics, dental prosthetics, mental health including substance abuse, airway inflammation, infectious disease, rheumatoid arthritis, orthopedic rehabilitation, surgical wound healing, anesthesiology, vascular disease and alcohol-related diseases.
VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System has a medical center in Omaha and community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC) in Grand Island, Lincoln, North Platte, Holdrege, Norfolk, Bellevue, and Shenandoah, Iowa. We also have an outreach clinic in O'Neill, Neb., under contract with Avera Medical Group.

Benefits and Features
Expected Salary range for well qualified Orthopedic Surgeon will range from $350,000.00 to $375,000.00.
