Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport welcomes your application for Dean of The School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Dean, an innovative and dynamic member of the LSU Health Shreveport leadership team, reports directly to the Chancellor of LSU Health Shreveport. The selected candidate may also interact with leadership of Ochsner Health System who manages our primary teaching hospitals in Shreveport and Monroe.

The Dean should exemplify exceptional leadership, continue the pursuit of clinical and academic excellence and foster interdisciplinary management of seven academic departments:

1. Cardiopulmonary Science

2. Clinical Laboratory Science

3. Occupational Therapy

4. Physician Assistant

5. Physical Therapy

6. Public Health

7. Speech Language Pathology

The visionary candidate will hold an MD, PhD, PA, EdD, DPT, OTD, DCLS or DPH, in addition to 5 years of exemplary academic administrative experience and previous leadership experience in Allied Health.

In addition, the successful candidate must have proven experience as a leader who can inspire faculty and staff to work together to develop future leaders. It is also important that the candidate possess strong management skills with an ability to grow revenues and meet budgets, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituents both internally and externally.
