The University of Houston College of Medicine is a new medical school that plans to enroll its inaugural class in the Fall of 2020. The College of Medicine is located in the historic 3rd ward section of Houston and aspires to graduate students that pursue careers in primary care for rural and urban medically underserved communities.

The Longitudinal Primary Care Course Director Position is an opportunity to direct one of the key components in the curriculum for the College of Medicine. Our leadership is seeking an energetic and innovative physician with an excellent understanding of primary care to design and implement the curriculum for our Longitudinal Primary Care (LPC) course. The LPC course provides our medical students with a weekly 4 hour primary care experience in an ambulatory clinical site. The LPC course is incorporated into all 4 years of the medical school curriculum. The course objectives include mastery of clinical skills such as taking history and physical examinations as well as understanding how social determinants of health impact clinical outcomes.
