MIS/Bariatric Surgeon-Major New York Teaching Hospital

The Northwell Health System is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgeon to join the faculty at Staten Island University Hospital, a teaching hospital of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. 

The team at the Center for the Surgical Treatment of Obesity at SIUH has been performing bariatric surgery for close to 20 years. They use a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach that looks at all aspects of patient health and wellbeing before, during and after surgery. With more than 2,000 completed cases to date, their proven formula has achieved safety and success rates that meet or exceed the national norms.

Founded in 1861, Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed, specialized teaching hospital located in New York City’s fastest growing borough.  Occupying two large campuses, plus a number of community-based health centers and labs, the hospital provides quality care to people on Staten Island, the New York metropolitan region, and to patients from around the world.
