The Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level in the area of quantitative genomics and/or psychiatric genetics to enhance the recently formed Neuropsychiatric Genetics Program (NGP) in the Tommy Fuss Center for Neuropsychiatric Disease Research at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Applicants must possess a PhD and have at least four years postdoctoral experience or the equivalent. Candidates pursuing research relevant to the genetic underpinnings of mental illness in multiplex extended pedigrees will be considered for the position. Additional interests in developing genetically informed blood-based biomarkers of affective and psychotic disorders or computational Bayesian modeling of complex behavioral or biological data is welcome. The successful candidate must be poised to build an independent, extramurally funded research program and have a strong track record of scientific excellence, creativity, and initiative. The investigator will hold both Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School faculty appointments.
